How to format your Lucidpress document

Help_Center_-_Untitled_Page.jpeg

Format your document to be 8.5 in wide. You can adjust your height to be as long as you need to. Everything must be on one page.

Note: hyperlinks are only supported in shapes and images when sent in an email. This means that if you have any hyperlinks added to text, add a transparent shape in front of the text. The shape will need to have the hyperlink for it to work in the email.

In the email, the first page of the document will be shown. When clicked, the published URL will open in a new window.

You can design your Lucidpress document however you choose (only the first page will show in the email).

If you don't want to do a lot of formatting, you can download your Lucidpress document as a PDF and attach it to your email. You can also publish your document to the web and send the published URL link.

FAQs
Lucidpress is designed to only export the first page into code. If you would like to include all of your content from your newsletter in one page, we recommend adjusting the size of the first page of your document to be a custom size and fit all the content in the single page. If this doesn't work for you, please create multiple copies of your document with each page you want to include as the first page, export the code, and paste it in order within your email code.

Adjust a document to be custom size: Click on the size and orientation dropdown and select "custom". Then, adjust the height to fit all of your content. Drag and drop content from other pages to the first page if needed
mceclip8.png

Open your Lucidpress document and click on the blue 'Share' button on the top right, then click 'Publish on the Web'.

mceclip9.png

To republish your document, there will be a red 'Republish' link on the top right of the Lucidpress editor.

When you embed a Lucidpress document in an email, you are sending a link to the published document. This allows for a more interactive experience for your viewers (especially if your document has more than one page).

If you don’t have an HTML editor, you will need to find a third-party extension that works with your email platform. For Gmail, please see the section above.

Lucidpress currently does not support GIFs.

Yes, videos will work in an email as hyperlinks. This means that when you add your Vimeo or YouTube video to your document, the email will show the video thumbnail. When the viewer clicks on the thumbnail, a new tab will open with the video.
